January 10, 1990 was a big day when the Fox River Antique Mall opened its door with 10 dealers. As word spread about a new Antique Mall opening dealers cam and rented space. By the end of February the Mall was full with 80 Dealers and a waiting list. It was overwhelming that an idea for an Antique mall would grow so fast.
The spring of 1991 we began construction to add on a new entry way and our north building which we opened in the fall. In a short time that also filled up right away.
We have over 165 Dealers in 30,000 square feet.
First time customers are amazed at the size of our two building and all the items our dealers have. It is great to see items here that our Grandparents use to have or what we had as children. If only we had known what the value of these items would be now we would have kept them.
We have a very friendly and cheerful staff who are here to help the customers. Everyone comments on how neat and clean the Mall is. It is very important to keep the Mall atmosphere customer friendly.
The Mall is co-owned by Carl and Ellen Handschke & Gary and Marilyn Sanderfoot.
